Welcome to another school year!  To kick-off the 2018-19 school year, NCAPP is again hosting a very special event, the NC AP Teacher Symposium, at the Sheraton Hotel in Chapel Hill, NC on October 5-6, 2017 (see details below). This event was very well received last year, and we are delighted to again include your districts this year.

We are pleased to invite your district to send current AP teachers in any of the subject areas listed below to attend.  NCAPP will cover the costs of registration, hotel, meals and travel reimbursements. Districts are responsible for the costs of substitutes.  This event is for teachers currently teaching AP.  We are limited to 3 AP teachers per district, so please prioritize your district needs.

The firm registration deadline for this event is Sept. 18, 2018, or when we reach capacity, whichever comes first. Please use the registration link below.
We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity for AP teacher professional development.  Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to meeting your teachers in Sept!

NC AP Symposium Oct. 4-5:
The NC AP Partnership (NCAPP) AP Symposium is a professional development event for AP teachers to collaborate across like disciplines, discuss challenges, share best practices, and dive deeper into their pedagogy. Attendees will also learn how to best leverage available resources for increasing student AP performance. This event is specifically designed for current AP teachers, and both content-specific and general break-out sessions will take place. Registration is free. NCAPP will pay for 1 hotel night (Oct.4th) and reasonable travel reimbursement for up to 3 AP teachers per district. Only necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed, subject to funds availability up to the maximum allowable amount. Two day event maximum reimbursement: $250 per person. Hotel will be reserved and paid directly by NCAPP. Do not reserve independently with the hotel. If you have more than 3 AP teachers who you want to send, please let me know and we will put them on a waitlist. As slots become available, we will prioritize additional registrants on a first come, first served basis.

Break-Out Sessions will be available in the following AP subjects (thus, please invite only AP teachers in these subjects):
Biology
Calculus AB
English Language and Composition
English Literature and Composition
European History
United States History
World History
