AP Mentoring Spring Support Scholarship Announcement
We have an additional opportunity to support AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature and Composition, or AP U.S. History teachers, with AP Mentoring: Spring Support Scholarships. This is a great support to teachers as they prepare their students for the AP exams in May.
AP Mentoring provides online, teacher-to-teacher support for AP teachers of all experience levels in AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature and Composition, or AP U.S. History, allowing them to enhance their teaching skills and strengthen student performance by connecting with expert AP teachers who have years of instructional experience and deep content knowledge. NCAPP is pleased to offer AP Mentoring Spring Support scholarships, which provide four virtual mentoring sessions in the months before the AP Exam administration.
NCAPP will award each district one (1) scholarship to cover program expenses for (1) one teacher in either AP Computer Science Principles, AP English Literature and Composition, or AP U.S. History Spring Support program ($399 value). Districts are responsible for teacher/subject choice. Districts who want additional teachers to be enrolled may do so, but they will be responsible for those additional costs (for more information see http://www.collegeboard.org/apmentoring ). Districts or schools should complete the registration form found at http://bit.ly/NCAPPMentoringSpring to register their teacher for the program. Upon receipt of the teacher’s information, AP Mentoring will email the teacher directly to have them complete their profile information and match them with a mentor. We ask districts to register teachers no later than Dec. 24, 2018. Please note that if a teacher is already enrolled in the year-long AP Mentoring program for 2018-19, this scholarship is redundant and should not be used for that particular teacher.
Thank you,
Kathleen
